Early Years · Nursery, LKG & UKG

Where little learners find their feet.

The first years of school should feel safe, happy and full of discovery. Our early years programme builds language, early numeracy and independence through purposeful play.

Play with purpose, care without compromise.

For many families in Manikonda, Puppalaguda, Alkapur and Neknampur, Nursery is their child’s first experience of being away from home. We take that responsibility seriously. Our classrooms are bright and welcoming, routines are predictable, and teachers and trained attendants are gentle, patient and attentive.

Children learn through carefully planned play: stories and rhymes that build vocabulary, sand and blocks that build early maths, crayons and play-dough that strengthen fingers for writing, and group games that teach sharing and turn-taking. By UKG, children are ready for the more structured learning of Grade 1 — and, just as importantly, they love coming to school.

Three stages

Nursery, LKG and UKG.

Each year has its own focus, with learning goals that grow gradually.

Nursery

Settling in, listening and speaking, songs and stories, recognising colours and shapes, holding crayons, and learning to play alongside others.

LKG / PP1

Letter sounds and early phonics, counting and number recognition, pre-writing patterns, simple instructions and growing independence.

UKG / PP2

Blending sounds to read simple words, writing letters and numbers, early addition, sharing ideas in class and readiness for Grade 1.

Learning areas

What your child will develop.

Language & communication

Rhymes, picture talks, storytelling and phonics build listening, speaking and the foundations of reading in English, with exposure to Hindi and Telugu.

Early numeracy

Counting objects, sorting, patterns, comparing sizes and simple number games make maths concrete and enjoyable.

Physical development

Fine-motor activities (threading, cutting, colouring) and gross-motor play (running, balancing, dancing) prepare bodies for learning.

Social & emotional growth

Circle time, role play and group games help children name feelings, make friends and follow classroom routines.

Understanding the world

Nature walks, festivals, seasons and celebrations such as Vanamahotsav spark curiosity about people, plants and animals.

Creative expression

Art, craft, music and movement give children many ways to express themselves and build confidence.

Settling in

A gentle first few weeks.

Every child settles at their own pace. This is how we help.

  1. Before

    Visit together

Parents and children visit the classroom and meet the teacher, so the first day feels familiar.

  2. Week 1

    Shorter days

Where helpful, younger children may begin with shorter days and gradually extend their time at school.

  3. Week 2

    Routines take shape

Predictable routines — welcome songs, snack time, story time — help children feel secure.

  4. Week 4

    Feedback to parents

Teachers share how your child is settling and suggest simple ways to support them at home.
